| 9/26/02 - 4:03 pm Location: at work Notes: i apologize for absense of notes over here - the last several day have been extremely busy. i pretty much digged myself into work and homework, had to spend a day in chicago yesterday... as for right now, i have to go. i dont think i'll have time to add something 2nite, so hopefully 2morrow. | 9/22/02 - 3:43 pm Location: at home Notes: we've just returned from this camping trip, and i really enjoyed it!! first of all, the trip there was very long, but still very amusing (over 3 hours of pure fun!). why? because it was. ;-)) so we showed up there when it was already dark. the first night was just okay - nice dinner, conversations around the fire and stuff.. the weather then was shitty - rainy, however rather warm. and sleeping in the tent turned out to be more fun than expected! as for the second day, it was filled up with events! first of all, the weather changed completely, the sun was shining with full power (i even burned my back), and anton and i decided to go fishing the first thing in the morning. but fishing from the shore seemed boring so we rented a canoe. in about 30 mins of looking for the fishy spot, anton flipped the boat over trying to reach something on the shore. and that was a good thing that we were close to the shore! anyways, all stuff that was in the boat, including us, ended up in water. i had my cell phone in my hand when it happened. the next thing i knew was me standing next to the boat with the cell phone still in my hand, but completely underwater. then we tried to save as much as we could - i was throwing items to the shore (cell phone went first). somehow we managed to drag the boat on the shore (that's when i cut my feet pretty nicely), flip it back over and set it sail again. finally, all wet, we returned to the renting station and started fishing. in next 30 mins i caught 3 fishes!!! it was soo cool, considering the fact that i've never caught anything in my life! the rest of saturday is kinda dimmed in my memory due to excessive amounts of alcohol consumed. i know that it was very fun tho - i played hacky sack, we went to some other like at least 3 times, were talking to some kids there, then someone was offering us to play hide-and-seek, and finally i fell in the lake trying to reach the four-leaf clover, and somehow ended up passed out in the tent. again, the weather changed completely the sunday morning. it turned out to be super cold and yucky, with nasty autumn rain falling here and there... but it was anton's fishing morning - he also managed to catch several fishes, while i was totally unsuccessful. and then... we left at about noon! surprisingly, cell phone dried out and is still working well :-) but my digital camera is dead, and thats why you wont see any pics from that trip. it was the only negative thing that happened during this weekend Mood: okay Music: Chizh&Co - Polonez |
| 9/18/02 - 1:15 pm Location: at work Notes: yesterday's night turned out much better than i expected: my night class was cancelled, so i managed to get some rest, but not for long. anton and i went to qcad and played pool for about 2 hours, and then went skateboarding. i got really tired cuz i was skating for a couple of hours almost non-stop. but now i have quite a big chunk of homework due 2morrow. i'm planning to relax at fireworks after 5 o'clock, finishing it up... may be my plans will change... | 9/17/02 - 2:40 pm Location: at work Notes: people just keep coming... they never stop and there's one lady who's totally lame with comps, she'll be here like in 15 mins... and then i have to tutor another lady at 6... it just never ends. hopefully 2nite i will have time to goto fireworks (local coffeeshop) or to theo's java club and just relax with a cup of coffee... i apologize that i dont have the russian version set up yet - i'm slowly working on translation. i'm somewhere in the middle now. so it's about the half done. as for yesterday, i had very good evening in very interesting company! :-) Mood: tired... | 9/16/02 - 2:13 pm Location: at work Notes: damn, i didnt realize that i havent been updating news for 5 days now. i'm soorry - i've been meeting new people all over the place and i was actually hanging out with them all weekend and stuff. besides that i was doing homework and stuff. and of course, skateboarding. kickflips are rather easy for me now, popshove-its seem easier than ollies now... i'm working on advanced stuff - heelflips and bs180's... not very successfully so far, but i'll do better. this weekend i'm planning to go camping somewhere in IL... it's me and anton, and maybe a couple of other guys from college - they dont know whether they're coming or not.. surprisingly noone showed up for tutoring this morning, besides Diokel - but he's cool cuz we speak french. alright, i'm going to take off to look for some food, i need to be fed, since i'm planning to donate plasma 2nite. laterz Mood: hungry and happy! | 9/11/02 - 6:52 pm Location: at home Notes: actually i'm fed up with all the memorial shit that is going on around. all these patriots have to do right now is to stick their flags up their asses and start running around yelling how cool it is to be free, brave and all this crap. anyways, i'll take of skating in next 10 mins. the weather's nice and i wanna check a couple of spot b4 it gets dark. today i also wrote pretty good article on some California law that is considered rather racist. hopefully i'll throw it in here sometime soon. and i'm drinking iced tea right now. take care, Americans!
